Hey guys, sorry it’s been such a long time since my last post. Life has been a little crazy lately with uni starting back and me getting a new job. All of these late-night shifts are turning me into some kind of sleepy, nocturnal being.
Anyway, this week’s random quote is from Nothing Tastes As Good by Claire Hennessy. The story is told from the perspective of a girl called Annabel, who just so happens to be dead. Annabel is assigned a special task of looking after Julia, and she automatically assumes that she knows how to fix Julia’s problems; make her skinny, because being thin equals being happy, right? But Annabel soon realises there is a lot more to Julia’s story than just her weight…
You can read my full review of Nothing Tastes As Good here.
And our quote from page 56 is:
“She slams things – locker doors, her hand against the wall – on her way back to class, and it’s funny how her brain and body lie to each other. She doesn’t know that she likes this distraction…”

Great premise for a book. Sounds like a guardian angel thing. I’m curious about the women’s relationship and how that works.
My Friday post features The Pecan Man.
