2016 End Of Year Wrap-Up

With the holiday season upon us and the end of 2016 drawing near, I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to you all.

Thank you for looking at my blog, for reading my posts, for liking, for commenting, and for sharing. I love interacting with you all and it’s been a lot of fun meeting so many like-minded bookworms and travel-obsessed people on WordPress.

Seeing as it’s my first full year running The World Around Me, I thought it would be interesting to put the blog stats into an infographic – just for fun. So here are my stats for the year as at 23rd December 2016:

As you can see my stats aren’t huge, but in 2015 The World Around Me only had a total of 20 views – so this year has been a 110% improvement on that!

It’s awesome to see that people from so many different countries are having a look at my blog. As well as the countries in the infographic, we’ve had readers from the Phillipines, Germany, Indonesia, Turkey, Romania, Sweden, Poland, Finland, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and loads of other places. It’s so cool to be able to connect with people from all over the world with a shared love for books and travel.

As well as thanking all of my wonderful readers, I would also like to thank the authors and publishers who have sent me books to read in exchange for an honest review. This includes Allen & Unwin, Bloomsbury, Bonnier, Faber, HarperCollins, and PanMacmillan. I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to read and review so many great books this year – and you are the ones who have made this possible. Thank you for your generosity and for all the hard work that goes into getting great stories out into print. I am super excited for more amazing reads in 2017 and I can’t wait to see what is coming up next.

You are all fabulous and I hope you enjoy the festive season and that 2017 is a happy, adventure-filled year for you.

I have a long list of books to read and review these holidays, so stay tuned on my Blog, Twitter, and Insta for further updates.
